Program objective
The main goal of the TRANSFORMA-INNOVA program is to get the people involved in the relevant sectors to change their agricultural and blue production systems towards sustainable, biodiverse, low-carbon and climate-resilient value chains, so that they contribute to Costa Rica's NDCs and its National Decarbonization Plan.

The TRANSFORMA-INNOVA Program facilitated knowledge exchange among producers participating in NAMA Livestock to promote the adoption of good practices in the sector as part of the Field Days organized in various farms across Costa Rica.

Innova-Verde Call for Proposals awarded 300,000 Euros Among 23 Innovative Livestock Production Projects in Costa Rica
- These are non-reimbursable funds granted by the European Union and the German Government for the implementation of the 23 projects
- Among the 23 winning projects, 14 are led by women from various regions of the country
INNOVA-VERDE competition will finance 20 innovative ideas in the livestock sector
March 19, 2024, San José, Costa Rica – Starting this March 19, people who are part of the Costa Rican livestock sector will be able to participate in the INNOVA-VERDE ideas contest whose objective is to finance innovative initiatives that reduce carbon emissions and other greenhouse gases (GHG) from this productive sector.
