Components
Governance
In the Governance component, the TRANSFORMA-INNOVA program will seek to strengthen policy coherence and efficient governance of low-carbon and resilient roads.
This analysis will consist of determining whether there are barriers that hinder the implementation of actions to reduce carbon emissions in the selected agricultural and marine-coastal systems,
considering biodiversity preservation, land rights and access for indigenous people, Afro-descendants and women, potential conflict lines and working conditions in rural areas.
In addition, the program will work on strengthening the governance mechanisms of low-carbon and resilient development pathways in the agricultural and blue sectors, strengthening institutional
capacities and sectoral ministry staff, and strengthening dialogue structures on decarbonization, biodiversity preservation in agriculture, ecosystem-based adaptation and sustainable production.
How are we going to do it?
-
A total of 4 national policies and/or regulations have been submitted to the authorities for approval to promote biodiverse, equitable and sustainable agriculture, marine resource management and/or blue value chains.
-
2 inter-institutional cooperation processes, which result in the definition of guidelines and standards for sustainable, biodiverse and low-carbon agriculture and the blue economy, are functional, in which representatives of civil society participate in a single process.
-
In each of the two FPIC processes related to the project, a marginalized community expressed interest or concerns
